My seminar teacher, Jessica Craig-Martin, who has works up all over the city and Vanity Fair, was mentioned on Gossip Girl tonight. I lol'd
I'm a dork, but it was funny.

Tonight I was bitching about some film that was eaten by a $25,000 scanner, and then I heard screaming from outside. I refreshed CNN.com and grabbed my camera, a couple rolls of film and my hoodie. I slammed my feet into my shoes, didn't bother putting the cast on my broken foot, didn't bother looking for my glasses.
I was walking to Lisa's room, she was walking to mine. We looked at each other, she pressed the elevator button down to the lobby. We got downstairs and the whole world was blue. She and I, along with hundreds of other people, ran the ten blocks to Union Square and remained there for over an hour; dancing to drum beats, watching people climb light poles and statues, greeting people we didn't know with hugs and high fives. Chanting began, first with "Obama!" then progressed to "YES WE DID!" then the occasional "MOOSE KILLER, GO HOME!"
The Square was blanketed in a huge American flag, gleaming with four foot wide white stars. It covered everyone; and everyone felt united. I ran out of film within the next fifteen minutes, and though I was cursing myself for not grabbing more, I don't think anything could capture what I felt then.
Walking home a couple minutes ago, I stopped at a red light and waited to cross. A street vendor looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and asked "Obama?" I laughed and screamed "HELL YES OBAMA!" He had a huge smile on his face and repeated Obama over and over, as I walked across 22nd street.
My window is open, overlooking Gramercy Park and the chants and screams have yet to subside. This is the start of something amazing and I'm glad I call this beautiful country my home.

Parker and I went to She and Him (Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward) at The Orange Peel last night. WOAH DOGGIES.
So good! I'm so glad I went! I'll have a 15 sec. video from my phone in a while, it's actually pretty good quality.

So I went to Belle Chere for about five minutes with Parker. Well, it sucked. I can't believe a year ago, I was with a best friend and my mom, chillin out, watching dumb hippies, drinking free energy drinks and eating Doc Chey's.
This year, different best friend and sucky gyro. We ran into Julie and Dave though; her artwork is FUCKING AMAZING.
